"Blood in My Stool" Colorectal Cancer Documentary

GCCA and Project PINK BLUE in Partnership
Project PINK BLUE Health and Psychological Trust Centre in Nigeria is a two-time recipient of the Global Colon Cancer Association’s Colorectal Cancer Health Equity Grant. This non-profit organization provides services to cancer patients, increases cancer awareness, and offers free cancer screening to work toward their goal of reducing late-stage cancer diagnosis. They are passionate about helping hard-to-reach communities and rural patients with patient navigation, psychological support, fundraising for indigent patients, and peer support groups.
Project PINK BLUE has used their CRC Health Equity Grants to develop, film, edit, and promote a documentary film called “Blood in My Stool”. The film features the colorectal cancer experiences of Abumchukwu Ezeilo and Oluyemisi Daodu, and through their stories, connects viewers to colorectal cancer to advance awareness, knowledge, and communication about access to CRC screening. Project PINK BLUE, with support from GCCA, aims to demystify colorectal cancer and screening through this culturally relevant documentary film.
